Maidi Lake is a high altitude lake located in the Rolwaling region of Nepal. It is considered as one of the most beautiful and remote lakes in Nepal, and is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush forests. The lake is situated at an altitude of around 4,300 meters, and is considered as one of the highest lakes in Nepal.
The Maidi Lake trek is considered difficult and takes around 12-15 days to complete. The trek starts from Dolakha and takes trekkers through beautiful forests, traditional villages, and terraced fields. Along the way, trekkers will have the opportunity to explore the local culture and traditions of the Rolwaling region, which is considered as one of the most remote and isolated areas in Nepal.
The best time to trek to Maidi Lake is from September to November and from March to May, when the weather is most favorable, and the skies are usually clear.
