Mt. ABI Peak Climbing (6,043 m) is one of the outstanding and alpine technique climbing peaks in Nepal that contains the rock-ice combination mountain in Shuangqiao valley of Qionglai mountains chains. In accordance with the Sherpa language “ABC ” that indicates small highlands. ABI Peak isolated the Khumbu himal range which lies to the Mahalangur Solukhumbu region. Mt. ABI Peak is also known as Cholo and Kangchung peak from where the pass reaches it and the Kangchung peak from where the pass reaches it and the Kangchung La so both of these peaks can be an adventuresome peak in itself.
The only challenge of climbing Kangchung summit is to conquer ice falls, hence wing, snow, short but steep vertical path can be exceedingly difficult even for experienced mountain climbers. Also, the climbing cholo is simple through the correct use of rope and axes, climbers can easily make it to the summit together with lean snow gorge and pass the ridges. ABI peak is significantly designed for all those mountain climbers who are searching to climb the peaks higher than 8000 m. Also the best place to have experience or training of ice climbing and high elevation acclimatization. So that to ascend the Mt. ABI peak all the mountain climbers should need careful ascent because of its practical ridges against its peak.
This peak was provided as a climbing peak since 2002 by Nepal Mountaineering Association even though it is taken as the average peak climbing of Nepal. The team of Enjoy Nepal Treks Expedition & Tours P Ltd will provide the climber’s their well-trained, expert Sherpa climbers and guides to make the tour unforgettable. This agency also provides other adventurous mountain climbing with experienced guides that make the climbing tour memorable.
Mt. ABI Peak Climbing is group ‘A’ classified climbing peak by Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and is regarded as one of the classic trekking peaks in Gokyo valley of Nepal. It is one of the infrequently climbed peaks, less than 6 times, that has been allowed for climbing since 2002. The peak is technically challenging to climb due to its difficult ridges against the peak and needs ice climbing, as being loathed in higher altitude.
Hence Mt. API is seen to be expanded into two similar peaks, appears to be like a pyramid, considered as Kangchung twins that are individually called as Kangchung peak (6,103 meters) and Cholo peak (6,089 meters). Those peaks can be climbed separately Kangchung peak is difficult as its climbers can encounter icefall as well as wing, snow and steep track in the most suitable season of climbing also. In comparison, the Cholo peak is much convinent to climb that needs ropes and axe works through the snowy route directing the climbers to the summit of the peak.
